Woven

In a woven fabric the pattern is created by the weave itself rather than printed on, so even a simple plain has a characterful texture. Woven fabrics suit curtains, Roman blinds, cushions and upholstery.

We stock over 400 woven designs, from plains and textured weaves to jacquards, stripes, checks and geometrics, in cotton, linen, polyester and blends. Most are 140cm (54″) wide, with extra wide options at 280cm (108″). Product pages list the composition, width and pattern repeat, and the Martindale rub count where we have it.

What is the difference between a woven and a printed fabric?

A woven fabric’s design is made by the weave itself, so it goes right through the fabric and has texture. A printed fabric has the design printed on to its surface.

Can I order a sample first?

Yes. Most of our fabrics are available as a sample, and we strongly recommend ordering one so you can feel the fabric and see the exact shade before you buy, because colours vary on different monitors.

Can you make curtains or blinds from this fabric?

Yes. Our seamstresses make curtains and Roman blinds to measure. Look for the curtain or blind quote button on the product page to get a price, or see our made-to-measure service.
