Silk

Silk and faux silk bring a soft sheen and a touch of luxury to curtains. We stock pure silks, silk and linen blends, and faux silks, which mirror the refined look of real silk at a more affordable price.

For a fuller finish and better drape, pair silk curtains with interlining: see our lining options. Faux silks are a practical choice for sunny rooms. Most of our silks are 140cm (54″) wide, and product pages list the exact composition, width and pattern repeat.

What is the difference between silk and faux silk?

Pure silk is a natural fibre with a distinctive sheen. Faux silk is usually polyester or a polyester blend that mirrors the look of silk at a lower price. The composition is listed on the product pages.

Can I order a sample first?

Yes. Most of our fabrics are available as a sample, and we strongly recommend ordering one so you can feel the fabric and see the exact shade before you buy, because colours vary on different monitors.

Can you make curtains or blinds from this fabric?

Yes. Our seamstresses make curtains and Roman blinds to measure. Look for the curtain or blind quote button on the product page to get a price, or see our made-to-measure service.
